As a Sales Counter Supervisor, you will be expected to:
Co-ordinate and facilitate all customer requirements within a growing trade supply, regional branch. A predominantly trade counter, sales-based role, you will be the main point of contact for a general and dedicated customer base and managed to KPIs, ensuring excellent customer service is kept up at all times and opportunities to generate increased sales opportunities for the business executed. Also, you will be responsible for your sales counter team, developing the teams sales counter experience.
Ensuring all counter calls are answered in a timely manner within the counter team.
Receiving and processing customer orders without discrepancy via telephone, email and face-to-face over the trade counter service.
Ensuring all quotes raised by the counter team are followed up and closed.
Responsible for managing a customer ledger through the counter team.
Liaising with all other departments (Yard, logistics etc.) within Sovini Trade Supplies to ensure customers orders are efficiently processed.
To support other departments in the business in providing product knowledge and experience to enable Sovini Trade Supplies to become a national recognised business.
As required, dealing directly with suppliers organising direct deliveries to customers sites and ensuring the process is of an efficient transition.
Ensuring all customer issues/complaints are dealt with swiftly and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction levels are of the highest standard.
To operate the BISTRACK system without error and administer all transactions as per
company guidelines.
Assisting with picking of customer orders as and when required, ensuring Sovini Trade Supplies are providing a first-class customer experience.
Taking charge of cashing up duties, ensuring company processes are followed.
Maintain detailed knowledge of all products and materials (i.e. qualities, uses, sizes, quantities, availability etc.) and to understand what items / building materials are required for both Trade & Retail Customers needs.
In this role, key holding responsibilities will be included.
To keep marketing/posters promotions up to date.
Merchandising shop and make changes to match seasonal trends.
Promote sale items including end of line ranges/dead stock.
Keeping note of any new product request, communicating to our sales and buying team.
To meet appraisal targets and support the delivery and achievement of overall business objectives.
Taking part in all stock takes. Ensuring all stock takes are managed in accordance with procedures.

To be successful in a Sales Counter Supervisor role, the skills you will need:
Experience of working on a builders merchant trade counter and/or working within a building supplies Industry.
Experience of managing and co-ordinating dedicated sales accounts.
Experience in raising customer orders, purchase orders and dealing general customer enquires using a dedicated ERP system.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in meeting and exceeding set KPIs and targets.
Ability to prioritise and manage workload to meet strict deadlines.
Self-motivated with enthusiasm, commitment and drive and ability to work under pressure and still produce a high standard of work.
Ability to work as a member of a fast-paced team.
Ability to be flexible, multi-skilled and willing to go the extra-mile.
Ability to ensure set operational processes are always implemented and followed by all staff.
Experience of excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:
Experience in managing/supervising a team.
