Job summary
To provide senior leadership to the nursing workforce within the Specialised Surgery directorate to deliver frontline professional and operational priorities and manage the ward and departmental nurse managers and specialist nurses.
This post will be cross site working but predominantly based at County to support the Elective Hub, ward and depts within the Specialised Surgery Directorate.
Main duties of the job
Work for the clinical and business success of the directorates and contribute to the corporate 7success of the trust.
Frequent and visible contact with staff, patients and their families, providing feedback about trust services.
Establish and maintain communication with appropriate stakeholders on potentially complex and stressful topics in a range of situations
To communicate complex and occasionally contentious information to large groups in a manner that is understandable and is likely to achieve engagement.
Provide clinical leadership which inspires and motivates others, empowering them to ensure all Ward/Departmental Sisters/Charge Nurses have the authority and support they need to improve patient care.
Promote professionalism amongst nurses and undertake clinical work to maintain professional competence.

1. Minimum 3 years in a Senior Nursing Post
