Now is an exciting time to join Hull City Council Neighbourhoods & Housing.
The Social Housing Sector is transitioning to a new regulatory model following the introduction of the Social Housing Regulation Act 2023, the most significant change in social housing regulation in a decade.
The service is currently adapting to align with this new framework, aiming to provide the best possible service to tenants, residents, and customers.
Role Overview
This role is central to that change, leading a forward-thinking practice management team dedicated to embedding and supporting excellent professional practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Practice Management Team to interpret policy and legislation, providing critical advice and expert support to housing delivery teams, partners, and customers on cross-tenure and related housing issues.
* Support service-wide performance through regular monitoring and strategic interventions when necessary.
* Lead policy and procedural improvements, offering practical challenges and support to address performance or standards deficiencies, including regional benchmarking and regulatory compliance.
* Champion and oversee the service’s learning and development initiatives in collaboration with corporate Learning and Development.
* Develop and deliver innovative and transformative housing projects in partnership with others.
If you are passionate about housing and its vital role in people's lives, and if this opportunity resonates with you, we would love to hear from you!
