Solutions Architect
Our trusted partner, a global cloud software provider that interacts with one in six corporations around the world, is hiring a Solutions Architect with a background in .NET, Multi-Tier/Microservices/Event Driven architecture to lead the next phase of their payroll digital transformation program. Ideally, the chosen Solutions Architect will have recently designed database integration solutions within an enterprise cloud (Azure) corporation to assist with payment transactions using technologies such as Azure Cosmos DB, NoSQL, and Azure Functions.
Our client is paying 100,000 to 120,000 circa + excellent benefits + remote working with occasional travel to offices in Berkshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to steer the architectural vision in collaboration with the agile engineering teams. The Architect must have a passion for the latest cloud technology and be excited to steer the technical design of solutions, ensuring that they align with the company architectural cloud vision, principles, and standards.
Core responsibilities:
1. Design and Implementation
2. Ensure solution designs align with company cloud architectural vision
3. Collaborate with architecture and engineering to evolve the architectural backlog
4. Work with Development Managers to build roadmaps on how to deliver cloud solutions in an agile manner
5. Work with Product Owners to ensure that technical improvements are prioritized appropriately
6. Gather architecturally significant requirements for major projects
7. Design and document architectural solutions
8. Implement and govern an architecture framework
Technical skill set:
1. Strong experience in developing solutions within the cloud (Azure or AWS)
2. A background in designing full stack architecture (multi-tier, so UI/UX, middle tier, and persistence tier)
3. Enterprise database architecture capabilities with emphasis on storage is a real nice to have
4. Experience using the following technologies within a commercial environment SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, NoSQL, and Azure Functions to integrate an enterprise structure is a nice to have
5. An API-first approach is a must have
6. Deep understanding of REST APIs is a must have
7. Understanding of different software design patterns e.g. Multi-tier, Microservice, Event-driven is a must have
