We have a great opportunity for a highly motivated Support Secretary to work in the Pharmacy Directorate at the University Hospital of North Midlands Trust.
Based in the Pharmacy Department at the Royal Stoke University Hospital of North Midlands, this post will support the Pharmacy Senior Management Team in ensuring all of the deadlines and turnaround times are met. The post holder will offer support in times of absence in order to ensure service delivery suffers no disruption. This is an ideal post for someone with secretarial experience looking to work in a small, busy, friendly team.
Main duties of the job
Key tasks include:
* The post holder is required to provide administrative and secretarial support to the Senior Management Team and to the Pharmacy Directorate as a whole.
* The post holder will specifically support work for the education and training of staff and supporting workforce initiatives as directed by the Clinical Director of Pharmacy.
* The post holder will proactively support the Pharmacy Administration and Clerical Team in ensuring that an efficient and effective service is provided in the day-to-day operation of General Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Health & Safety.
The applicant must be extremely flexible both in their approach to work and be able to work as part of a team working towards ensuring all targets and deadlines are achieved within the department.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
* 4 GCSEs (C and above including Maths and English) or equivalent
* DSE Assessor
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
* Development and maintenance of robust systems to ensure effective administration and organisation.
* Demonstrable experience of working in an office environment.
* Demonstrable confidence/experience in Business Admin.
* Taking minutes.
* Evidence of using audio transcription to type minutes/documentation.
* Diary Management.
* Ability to work as an effective team member.
* Good communicator - written and oral.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety in the Workplace.
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Intranet, and Internet and other relevant computer applications.
* Ability to deal confidently and directly with all members of healthcare teams and members of the public.
* Ability to work unsupervised and within departmental guidelines/SOPs.
* Pride in establishing and maintaining high standards of work and attention to detail.
* Demonstrable experience of working in an office environment within a healthcare setting.
* Knowledge of NHS policies.
* Knowledge and experience of the hospital email system.
* Experience of preparing and managing rotas.

Salary: £24,071 to £25,674 a year pro rata per annum.
