The Job You’ll Do:
1. Ensure equipment is set up ready for shift start and lines are shut down correctly.
2. KPI’s to be reviewed every shift to maintain focus on delivery and cost.
3. Consistent reporting of all activities including breakdown repair.
4. Carry out RCAs for repetitive breakdowns.
5. Understanding of health & safety rules and regulations.
6. To assist in initiatives and proactive working to keep site waste low.
7. To review and allocate the workload between the other Engineers on shift.
8. To liaise with Shift managers to be proactive to the production plan, issues that arise and gaining access to machines.
9. To make best placed decisions based on information, tools available and discussed between Operations and engineering teams.
10. Daily downtime sheets/filling in shift or downtime book/Maintenance records.
11. Correctly completed history in Maintenance system, and engineering shift report.
12. Input into production tracker to be reviewed to align with actual DT problems and timings.
About You:
1. Apprenticeship / Technical background Electrical/Mechanical – Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
2. Experience of PLC, HMI Scada controlled systems (desirable).
3. Ability to communicate to others in department and cross departments.
4. Self-motivated.
5. Conscientious, with attention to detail.
6. Organisational skills.
7. Strong Technical aptitude.
