Industry Principal, Chemicals
As an Industry Principal in the Chemicals Industry, your primary focus will be to create demand for the products and services of AVEVA in your assigned industry group through thought leadership, business development, sales enablement and support and organizational influence.
Your main objective will be to act as a pathfinder for our customers and enable the AVEVA salesforce to deliver high customer satisfaction with global consistency.
Responsibilities:
1. Increase AVEVA’s penetration and market share within the industry value chain.
2. Build a strong ecosystem with executive level relationships throughout the customer base and partnerships.
3. Support specific and numerous sales opportunities with industry specific information and expertise.
4. Understand the business drivers, strategic trends and competitive threats and influence in this industry and deliver our response as required to increase the value proposition.
5. Support sales enablement and capability for each region.
6. Create demand and collateral for our products, including Enterprise Agreements and Flex Deal pursuits.
7. Develop and sustain industry marketing collateral that support sales enablement and marketing initiatives.
8. Lead industry events and campaigns.
9. Participate as part of a virtual team in support of strategic industry sales and region strategy.
10. Build working relationships with a variety of individuals, teams and organizations within and outside of AVEVA.
Experience & Qualification
11. Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. STEM degree highly desired
12. Minimum of 10+ years of direct experience working in the Chemicals industry, with specific experience supporting operations and/or engineering at some level.
13. High level of business acumen; professional written and oral communication skills; proven ability to delivery executive-level value statements; excellent presentation skills
14. Proven track record of success in consultative selling at the C level.
15. Proven track record of Business Development in an industry vertical.
16. Background in software sales highly desired
17. Domestic and international travel - approximately 40% - 60%
18. This position could be based in North America, Europe or Asia/Pacific working from home or at an AVEVA office
