This is an exciting opportunity to join Outsourcing GB Solutions, as a Product Owner in the Business Solutions function. You will be joining a team of Product Owners with diverse skills and experience. You will realise the product vision and deliver value for user and the business and work very closely with the Business Analyst and the Product Manager to build a product vision to transform into actionable backlogs. You will use various techniques and tools to influence and rally stakeholders and team members to work towards a solution, but also flexibly and ably collaborating with project stakeholders to achieve sign-off. This role requires a motivated professional who is experienced in taking responsibility, who can independently deliver results on both a product level as well as client specific projects. The Role Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, task and workflow analysis. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into details, abstract up from low level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Be well-versed with the product development lifecycle from creative discovery, analysis, testing right up to release planning, and be responsible for the key results and metrics to meet the strategic goal of the product offering Create and prioritise a product backlog that aligns with the product vision and goals, and continuously refine it based on feedback and changing business needs. Collaborate closely with the Scrum Team (eg Business Analysts, Developers, Designers, Quality Assurance) to ensure that the product meets customer needs and is delivered on time and within budget. Collaborating with SMEs to write technical specifications. Working alongside a Scrum Master to supervise a development team to deliver the product. Ensuring that all systems documentation is complete and understandable by relevant stakeholders. Responsible for product roll out to other clients and understanding when to enhance the core offering in a configurable way Ensure that the product backlog items are clearly defined, and well understood with requirements, and properly estimated by the Scrum Team. Work with the Product Manager and Scrum Team to make tough choices on what features to include in each sprint or release, based on the value they will deliver to customers and the business. Supports team members across geographical locations. Considers any risks and issues associated to the initiative. Ensure that the product is compliant with all relevant regulations and standards and manage any legal or ethical considerations related to the product. Ensuring on-time, good quality and value-focused delivery with clear and well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria (e.g., leveraging INVEST framework), leading refinement/grooming sessions to be ready for development ahead of sprint starts Create and maintain materials for users and internal stakeholders that clearly communicate product capabilities; and support internal training and enablement for Customer Success and Operations teams Supporting new features, implementation /migration of new clients, and ongoing support of live clients Partner with the Scrum Master to ensure the team’s way of working is sustainable, efficient, and effective Qualifications The Requirements Strong systematic and problem-solving skills Demonstratable experience in writing technical specifications Experience working in a software development lifecycle Experience using SQL is preferred but not essential Experience within the pensions industry preferred but not essential Experience using JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint is preferred but not essential Able to work independently and learn the system using their extensive analysis skills Able to self-organise, prioritise, and meet deadlines with a hands-on approach where required Familiar with different delivery methods (i.e. Scrum, Scaled Scrum, Waterfall, etc.) and ability to flex between them where appropriate Excellent communication skills when delivering your points of view through data, insights and customer impact.
