The purpose of this job is to assist in the smooth running of the Dispensary, taking a lead role in monitoring the Dispensary tracker system to ensure that targets are met.
To undertake planned work supported by the provision of clear standard operating procedures and under the guidance and supervision of the Dispensary Manager.
To supervise allocated staff to the dispensary, prioritising work in conjunction with the team leader.
Liaise and provide support to the 7-day home delivery service.
Play an active role in future developments of pharmacy services and staff. Apply knowledge and experience underpinned by appropriate training and qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services.
A full and comprehensive training package will be provided.
Once these are completed the post holder will be able to apply for the opportunity to study for a Diploma in the principles and practice for Pharmacy Technicians via the Pharmacy training request panel.
The post-holder will participate in our late night, weekend and bank holiday rotas.
Senior Assistant Technical Officers may be asked to provide support on any of the Trust sites.

We are looking for Senior Pharmacy Assistant with strong interpersonal skills. We welcome applications from individuals with excellent communications skills, a patient-centred attitude, the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, and have the motivation to strive for continued improvement, working towards our STEP 3 to 4 programme.
Applicants should have a GCSE grade C or above, or an equivalent in both Maths and English
Hours of work will be 7.5hrs daily weekdays, 8:50 - 5.20pm and late nights on a rota basis, late night hours will be 11:00 - 7:30pm. Part time hours will be considered.
The post holder will be required to participate on weekends/bank holiday working on a rota basis to support a seven-day service.
