Quality Engineer Corby 40,000 Mon-Fri Days We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to work in Corby. This role is key in driving continuous improvement and ensuring high-quality standards across our processes. Key Responsibilities: · Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including PIT teams, capability studies, and Gage R&R. · Act as the backup ISO/QS management representative, supporting the QA Manager. · Develop and deliver training programs to standardise the use of quality tools and techniques. · Oversee and maintain the corrective and preventive action process, serving as the primary QA contact for customer issue resolution. · Participate in the APQP team, applying and teaching Total Quality Management (TQM) tools to enhance pre-production processes. · Support Process Improvement and Corrective Action Request (CAR) teams, providing hands-on leadership and knowledge-sharing. · Monitor and maintain the Gage R&R process, ensuring effective execution and fostering department-wide understanding. · Facilitate Statistical Process Control (SPC), ensuring proper use of statistics for product and process monitoring. · Establish systems to track and analyse CPK data, using insights to drive continuous improvement in internal operations. · Provide guidance and support to managers and QA staff, serving as a backup for the QA Manager when needed. · Stay up to date with the latest quality concepts, attending seminars and training staff on best practices. · Contribute to new equipment and process qualification. · Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. · Support environmental objectives by promoting waste reduction, recycling, and energy conservation. · Conduct internal audits as per the auditing schedule. · Take ownership of special projects and additional tasks as assigned by the QA Manager. Key Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred). · Strong knowledge of ISO 9000 / TS 16949 quality system standards. · Understanding of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles and objectives. · Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels, from shop floor employees to senior management. · Experience in problem-solving techniques, group dynamics, and human relations. · Strong analytical skills and the ability to drive creative solutions with initiative. · Laboratory experience, including metallurgical knowledge (preferred). · ASP or ASME certification (preferred). · Wonderlic score of 25 and Bennett Mechanical score of 90%.
