We are currently overseeing a 128-unit residential project and are seeking a skilled Design Manager to lead the design coordination and execution on-site. Job Summary: The Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the design aspects of the residential development project, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, project timelines, and budget constraints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction design, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and site teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the design process for the 128-unit residential project, from planning through to completion. Coordinate with architects, engineers, planners, and other consultants to ensure design intent aligns with project objectives. Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Ensure compliance with local building codes, planning regulations, and industry standards. Manage design changes, value engineering, and resolve design-related issues in collaboration with the construction team. Oversee quality control of design implementation on-site. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to facilitate approvals and permits. Work closely with the procurement team to ensure materials and finishes align with design requirements. Monitor design-related project costs and assist in budget management. Attend project meetings and provide technical input and recommendations. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in residential construction design management. Strong knowledge of building regulations, planning permissions, and construction methodologies. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
