Glenshane Veterinary Clinics are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our fantastic team of veterinary professionals. With three branches nestled at the foot of the Sperrins, we are located just a 40-minute drive from the scenic North Coast, Belfast, Derry, and local airports, providing the perfect balance between country life and city access.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced RVN to become part of our caring team, where you will take ownership of your own nurse clinics, perform minor procedures, and carry out dental assessments and scale and polish treatments. You will be a key part of our team, contributing to the delivery of excellent patient care and working alongside our skilled vets and support staff in a supportive and friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform nursing duties such as consults, dental scale and polish, minor procedures, and general patient care
2. Support the veterinary team in diagnostics and treatment
3. Provide excellent customer service, building relationships with clients and their pets
4. Manage your own nurse clinics and have the opportunity to further develop your clinical skills
5. Be a proactive member of the team, with strong communication and team collaboration
Work with Advanced Facilities
Glenshane Veterinary Clinics is made up of three practices: our main purpose-built branch in Maghera, and our other branches in Dungiven and Kilrea. Our clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and inhouse laboratory facilities.
This Skills You'll Bring to Our Team
We are looking for a dedicated RVN with prior experience, or an enthusiastic ANA/SVN with a strong passion for animal welfare. The ideal candidate will have a valid driving license and access to a car, as travel between our branches is required. We value a collaborative team player who possesses excellent communication skills and thrives in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, we aim to provide a great work/life balance, offering a 4-day week with 1 in 4 Saturdays (9 AM - 4 PM) and out-of-hours cover.
