Job summary An opportunity has arisen to work as a band 3 physiotherapy assistant within the front of house Physiotherapy team based at the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital(NSECH). This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside registered Physiotherapists assessing and treating patients in the Emergency department and a number of wards based at NSECH. The successful applicate will join a team of 10 Physiotherapists dedicated to this area and will support the co-ordination of referrals, carry out treatment plans delegated by a qualified Physiotherapist and ensure the correct equipment is available to support patients. This is a fast paced and busy environment which requires good organisational and communication skills as well as resilience. The applicant will work predominantly Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 but may be required to work a late shift and weekends. To assist a qualified Physiotherapist in the implementation of treatment programmes for individual patients or groups of patients. To facilitate arrangement of appointments, transport and ordering of equipment. To be responsible for the overall hygiene & maintenance of the department and equipment.
