We are seeking an outstanding Head of Supply Chain & Manufacturing to join our business leadership team. The role will lead our supply chain and manufacturing teams across the UK from our Scottish head office and contribute to the ambitious growth plans we have. The right candidate will have strong people and team leadership skills along with a proven track record of driving improvement in manufacturing and supply chain. In addition, the right candidate will have the ability to manage both strategic thinking and hands-on detail. Plus, be naturally good at coaching and influencing outside of direct reporting relationships and get satisfaction from being part of a high energy, results orientated leadership team. Purpose and Summary of position: The role reports to the Managing Director of Record UK and is a key part of the UK leadership team. It includes leadership of our 50 Supply Chain staff to efficiently manage the production and supply of product to our customers and Installation and Service teams. The role is responsible for our manufacturing facility in Hamilton, our four regional distribution hubs across the UK, purchasing, our design team, and all inventory. Key Tasks Strategic and tactical leadership of our Supply Chain to build an outstanding team and drive improvement in quality, efficiency, and product delivery Use LEAN tools and our empowered culture to build our Supply Chain into a core strength of the UK business Work collaboratively with other members of the UK leadership team to deliver our vision and achieve our ambitious growth targets. Actively contribute to improvement in field efficiency across both Service and Install Contribute to improvement in our NPS scores through delivery of excellent customer experiences Build, coach, mentor and develop a strong, cohesive Supply Chain team. Optimise stock and replenishment processes to balance inventory with meeting customer needs in a demanding, project-based market Strategically optimise our inbound and outbound logistics and material supply chains Lead by impeccable example by walking the talk with our Record behaviours Essential Criteria A strong, collaborative leader, who leads by coaching and nurturing growth in others An engaging team player, who is people focused and results driven with a positive ”can-do” ”win-win” attitude A high energy leader who can motivate, influence, and develop people to drive continuous improvement Experience in relevant manufacturing and logistics operational management roles Excellent knowledge of production management, production systems, logistics and inventory management Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, including 5S, Visual Management, Kaizen and Six Sigma Proven track record of leading and delivering improvement projects, along with implementing change in a Production environment High level of customer focus and business acumen.
