Permanent | Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to oversee a Children’s Residential Home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality care environment. This role requires strong leadership, safeguarding knowledge, and a commitment to promoting positive outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and all relevant legislation.
* Develop and implement placement plans, risk assessments, and care strategies tailored to each child’s needs.
* Maintain financial oversight, including managing budgets and ensuring resources are used effectively.
* Support and develop staff through supervision, training, and performance management.
* Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
* Work collaboratively with Local Authorities, social workers, and external agencies to advocate for the children’s best interests.
* Oversee recruitment and ensure staffing levels are maintained.
Requirements:
* Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Services (or equivalent).
* Experience in a senior or management role within children’s residential care.
* Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Safeguarding Procedures, and Ofsted Standards.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to complete).
* Full UK driving licence.
