Repairs Assistant – Closing date 09.02.2025
Salary up to £23,874 pa depending on skills and experience
Permanent - Full time – 37 hours per week
Location: Ashford, Kent
With an understanding for the importance of delivering quality services and working as part of a team, you will be the first point of contact for our tenants, customers, and contractors. You will be assisting in a diverse range of enquiries by telephone or other correspondence channels for property repairs issues and to support the wider team.
We are looking for an individual who can take ownership and responsibility in the administration and resolution of property repair issues. You will work closely with our Repairs Inspectors and Planned Maintenance Team to ensure all tenants receive excellent customer service. You will be responsible for:
* Raising repairs jobs on the computer system
* Issuing of repair order instructions to contractors
* Issuing of property inspections in accordance with guidelines
* Processing of contractor variation orders and contractor invoices
To be competent in this role, it is essential that you have customer service experience and experience in work involving dealing directly with the general public or customers along with having:
* Good listening and numeracy skills.
* The ability to keep accurate records and to produce simple correspondence.
Ideally, you will have worked in a customer-focused organisation and be familiar with Microsoft Windows applications. Training will be given in the use of our main Orchard housing system, which is used to manage our 5,500 properties.
