We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide ad-hoc support in secondary schools across Derby. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in education to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to students with various needs, ensuring they are engaged and progressing in their studies.
Support small groups of students in a range of subjects, assisting with their learning and development.
Offer general classroom support, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Work closely with teachers and other school staff to monitor student progress and assist with any special educational needs (SEN).
Ensure students are following instructions, staying on task, and managing their behaviour.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar educational role.
A passion for supporting young people and helping them to succeed.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different classroom environments.
