Responsible for leading the design and build of engaging, interactive digital learning experiences and resources that meet the needs of learners. Lead a small team and work across various platforms and mediums, including e-learning tools, graphics, animation, and the Learning Experience Platform (LXP). You will apply adult learning and human-centred design principles to develop high-quality learning content that is responsive to both learner needs and business goals.
What will you be doing?
* Lead the design and development of engaging, effective digital learning experiences and resources, ensuring they align with adult learning principles and meet learner and business needs.
* Apply adult learning and human-centred design principles to create learning solutions that are learner-focused, interactive, and innovative.
* Create high-quality e-learning content that is optimised for desktop and mobile devices, ensuring seamless integration across platforms.
* Design and develop multimedia learning resources, including graphics, animations, and branding, to be used across the Learning Experience Platform (LXP) and other mediums.
* Work closely with the Digital Systems team to maximise digital platforms against learning design intent.
* Use data insights and research to inform content design, ensuring a research-informed and iterative approach to developing learning resources.
* Utilise metrics and data to evaluate the effectiveness of digital content, supporting an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) approach and ongoing iterative improvements.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and developments in digital learning and instructional technology, continuously improving the quality of learning experiences.
* Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.

What are we looking for?
Essential for the role:
Knowledge:
* Degree in a relevant subject area (e.g., instructional design, multimedia design, or digital learning) or equivalent experience.
* Strong understanding of instructional design principles, with experience in creating effective learning experiences.
Experience:
* Proven experience in leading a team of content producers or developers within a learning context.
* Experience in generating creative solutions to meet business problems through digital content development.
Skills:
* Expertise in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360, Adapt) to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.
* Proficient in graphic design and video editing software, including Adobe Creative Cloud and After Effects.
* Experience in creating and managing SCORM packages and loading them onto an LXP or LMS.
* Experience in developing interactive videos and other multimedia assets for learning.
* Experience working with content management systems (CMS) to manage and distribute digital content.
* Understanding of UX/UI design principles for web and learning platforms.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, including working with external suppliers and agencies.
Beneficial to have:
Knowledge:
* Familiarity with modern coach development philosophy and how they can be enhanced through effective learning design and development.
Experience:
* Experience working within a sporting organization/association or within an educational organization.
Skills:
* Experience using xAPI to track learner progress and outcomes.
* Knowledge and experience in football, from elite to grassroots levels, with the ability to apply this insight to learning resources.

Our Organisation
The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England.
