Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Due to our continued expansion, we are recruiting for a Site Manager to join our South West team. As a Site Manager, you will be confident and self-motivated, and a key member of the customer-focused South West Construction team.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance on site with company Health and Safety standards, NHBC standards, building regulations, and overall quality standards.
2. Co-ordinate labour and resources on site to deliver the build programme, proactively scheduling trades to ensure optimum delivery.
3. Ensure all plots are built to the highest standard of quality, complying with NHBC Standards, Building Regulations, and best practices.
4. Undertake quality control procedures and inspections, rectifying any defects to avoid additional costs or delays.
5. Monitor and control the cost of production, approving payments to contractors and trades where appropriate.
6. Maintain accurate records for the development including Staff Inductions, Health, Safety and Environment, timesheets, incident reports, and quality control checklists.
7. Liaise proactively with internal departments, external suppliers, and partners to ensure the build programme is achieved.
8. Work with Sales through regular meetings to ensure smooth delivery of homes for customers.
9. Deliver high standards of site presentation at all times.
10. Conduct New Home Tours with the Sales Executive and customers, addressing any questions or issues before Legal Completion.
11. Support the Contracts Manager in ensuring the on-site Construction team is fully resourced and well-directed.
12. Demonstrate a good behavioral example in health and safety, organization, conduct, quality of work, and professionalism.
13. Create a positive environment that drives a culture of respect and mutual support within the team.
14. Influence and inspire others through consensus building.
Desirable skills and experience:
1. Experience in the house building industry, with knowledge of construction and legislative requirements (Health and Safety, NHBC, Building Regulations).
2. Strong leadership skills to ensure delivery to high standards.
3. Ability to prioritize tasks to meet changing business needs, with strong problem-solving abilities.
4. Experience working to an established build programme.
5. Proven ability to coordinate workforce effectively.
6. Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
7. Experience on new build projects.
8. Knowledge of Customer Care issues.
9. Membership in the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or NVQ level in Construction Management preferred.
10. Current CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
11. SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) preferred.
12. Minimum NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management preferred.
13. Full UK Driving Licence required.
