We are looking for a Nursery Childcare Early Years Teacher to join our vibrant and friendly Day Nursery.
We are busy setting, but reside in a purpose-built property which allows for spacious room for the children and excellent outdoor facilities to learn and thrive in.
Our Ideal Candidate Will:
1. Hold a relevant Early Years QTS, NYT or EYT qualification
2. Have 1 year’s teaching experience
3. Have 1 year experience working in a nursery setting
4. Be energetic and fun
5. Have a real love and drive for working with and educating children
6. Have a good understanding of the EYFS and Safeguarding
7. Be happy to up-skill and improve their learning
8. Believe in building strong Parent Partnerships to provide cohesive learning to our children
9. Have experience within a childcare setting
10. Be enthusiastic, fun, creative and a good role model
11. Have real passion, motivation and drive for working with and educating children
12. Have a good level of understanding of the EYFS and Safeguarding policies/procedures
13. Have a commitment to self-development and be prepared and motivated to keep knowledge and skills updated
14. Believe in promoting and building strong parent partnerships to provide cohesive learning for the children
The Role Requires That You Ensure:
1. The highest standards are maintained when providing care, implementing safeguarding practices and following nursery policies/procedures
2. EYFS/SEND standards are promoted, implemented and applied to your work
3. The responsibility (alongside management) of health, safety, security and wellbeing of children, staff and visitors is upheld
4. Participation in the key persons system being responsible for a group of children including monitoring, assessment, up to date recording and reporting on their development and progress
5. Children’s emotional and social needs are met implementing the principles and techniques for positive behaviour management
6. A supported and smooth settling in/transition period for children as required
7. The promotion of good personal and food hygiene with the children whilst encouraging independence
8. Professionalism, effective team work, high quality practice, flexibility and the promotion of equality and diversity
9. Activities provided are planned appropriately and are specific to a child’s/group’s abilities, interests, language and cultural background supporting the individual’s development through learning and play
10. The attendance of meetings, training (both mandatory and otherwise), appraisals and supervision as required
11. The timely escalation of any practice/family concerns ensuring effective communication pathways between parents/carers and colleagues
12. Effective partnership with management, colleagues and other professionals as required including family support workers, speech therapists, SENCO.
