We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to join our team in Faslane, Helensburgh, Scotland.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on mechanical professional to work on Submarine and shore-based systems and equipment. As an SSE Electromechanical Technician, you will be responsible for conducting tasks in a highly prescriptive environment, working as part of a collaborative team, and supporting occasional overtime and on-call periods.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting tasks in a highly prescriptive environment to support Submarine and shore-based systems and equipment.
* Working as a fully integrated member of the Launcher Surface Support Equipment team, which may involve travel to other UK and USA sites.
* Collaborating with technicians and engineers in corrective/preventative maintenance and load testing of lifting equipment.
* Supporting occasional overtime and on-call periods.
* Maintaining a Professional Development Record through regular training.
* Potential to become qualified as an instructor depending on training, exposure, and experience.
* Operating overhead crane, Forklift Trucks, Scissor-Lift, Cherry Picker, including working at height.
* Grit blast and paint spray operations.
