BDM - Sales
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £26,000 - £27,500 Basic Salary Plus commission. Realistic OTE £40k plus
Start date: ASAP
Hours of work: Core working hours Monday to Friday
Dynamite Recruitment is working in partnership with a very well-established business who are based in Portsmouth. Due to growth plans for 2021, our client is now looking to recruit a BDM to join the business.
As a BDM, you will be responsible for building and maintaining new and old tender opportunities, supporting the senior team with tender opportunities for them to contact, quote, and close.
As an BDM, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Be the first point of call for customers via email and on the telephone.
2. Gain repeat business by calling through to old customers to establish what may have changed and rectify this.
3. Manage key client accounts and drive sales growth.
4. Support customers with their billing and account queries, making any changes to their accounts.
5. Take ownership of sales targets and identify sales opportunities.
6. Use the CRM to keep a log of all activity, and chase and follow up on tender opportunities.
7. Sell to existing customers to grow revenue.
8. Liaise with Quality Assurance to ensure sales verification is compliant.
9. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
10. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
The ideal BDM will have/be:
1. Experience in a sales or BDM role.
2. Able to manage and prioritize time and workloads.
3. Must drive.
4. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
5. Ability to develop good sales and account management skills.
6. Take ownership of issues and resolve them efficiently.
7. Ability to self-motivate.
8. Proven record of delivering against targets.
9. Competent in using email, phone, and LinkedIn.
