Position Description
A highly regarded law firm in Manchester is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Negligence Paralegal to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate with experience in clinical negligence to further develop their skills and career within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist solicitors with a variety of clinical negligence cases, from initial instruction through to resolution.
* Conduct legal research, gather medical records, and review case materials to support solicitors in building strong cases.
* Draft legal documents, correspondence, and witness statements under the supervision of solicitors.
* Liaise with clients, medical experts, and other third parties to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
* Maintain accurate and organized case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
* Assist with the preparation of cases for hearings, including compiling bundles and preparing briefs for counsel.
* Manage administrative tasks related to case management, including scheduling appointments, organising meetings, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Requirements:
* Law graduate with at least 1 year of hands on experience as a paralegal in clinical negligence.
* Strong understanding of clinical negligence law and procedures.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
* Proficient in using case management systems and other legal software.
* Bonus scheme based on performance.
* Some hybrid working options, though predominantly office-based.
