We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to play a pivotal role in driving new business growth while managing existing customer accounts in a balanced 50/50 capacity. This position offers a blend of autonomy and support, with the freedom to leverage your sales expertise alongside the internal sales team. Work Schedule: 2 days in the office 2 days with clients 1 day working from home Duties and Responsibilities Sales Development & Lead Generation: Identify and develop sales targets to drive growth. Generate and qualify new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and in-person meetings. Client Relationship Management: Schedule and conduct meetings with potential and existing clients, virtually and face-to-face, to understand their needs, build strong relationships, and offer tailored solutions. Proposals & Negotiations: Create and present customized quotes and proposals. Negotiate pricing and specifications to close sales effectively. Account Management & Retention: Manage and nurture existing customer accounts to maximize retention and upselling opportunities. Reengage lapsed accounts to generate additional revenue. Internal Collaboration: Partner with relevant departments to ensure smooth onboarding, project execution, and delivery of services. Trade Representation: Represent the company at trade exhibitions and events, enhancing the organization's market presence and reputation. Travel & Client Engagement: Travel to client appointments across the UK when needed, balancing in-person interactions with virtual meetings via Teams or Zoom. CRM & Reporting: Utilize CRM systems to track leads, monitor sales progress, and manage client interactions effectively. Requirements Proven experience in new business development or a sales-driven role, ideally within the packaging industry. Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. A demonstrated track record of developing and successfully executing account plans. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
