We are looking for an incredible Assistant Business Manager to join the Morphe team.
STORE LOCATION: Selfridges, Bullring, Birmingham
This role is permanent, full-time, on a shift pattern, any 5 days out of 7.
Born in 2008 among the artists and influencers of Los Angeles, Morphe instantly disrupted the beauty industry by making artist-designed, professional-quality brushes affordable and accessible. The Assistant Business Manager assists in driving sales and operations through exceptional customer service; motivating high performance people, and driving profitable growth & achievement of financial goals and KPI’s such as brand expression, engagement, retention, conversion, payroll, and inventory. The Assistant Manager is an integral part of the selling floor and backroom, focusing on the service provided to the FORMA Brands customer visiting the counter and also ensuring operations are run smoothly and accurately to the Company standard.
Sales
1. Responsible for driving sales to meet or exceed targets.
2. Executes and drives traffic for company driven promotions and launches to meet and exceed sales targets and deliver the best experience possible for customers.
3. Assist with local events ensuring a successful execution as directed by the Senior Operations Manager.
Service
4. Prioritize time on the selling floor; coaching and developing the team; and leading by example.
5. Positive representative of the FORMA Brands.
6. Deliver the full customer service experience, catering to the customers’ needs and optimizing makeup stations and makeup studios, where applicable.
7. Consistently elevate their own artistry skills and the artistry skills of the team.
8. Develops knowledge of trends in industry to provide best service possible and share with the squad.
Leadership
9. Responsible for people management in store, recruiting, training, counseling and developing top talent to grow within the organization.
10. Participate and advocate for all trainings, support all trainings and assist the Senior Operations Manager in ensuring that they delivered on brand and the desired artistry and service knowledge/skills were built with every employee in store. Facilitate trainings for store team as assigned.
11. Responsible to support a productive and dynamic squad by connecting with employees, customers, and influencers. These must be strong relationships and connections founded on the common passion for makeup.
12. Confident and skillful coach and manager to the team. Comfortable navigating difficult conversation, with professionalism, poise and kindness; actively provide coaching and feedback to develop employees in their position and help them grow.
13. Creates an environment where clear and fair expectations are set and all employees are treated with respect.
Operations
14. Responsible for knowing, following and administering all company policies and procedures.
15. Ensures communications are filtered to the team as directed by the Senior Operations Manager.
16. Acts to reduce LP and product returns/damages.
17. Responsible for management of the schedule. Manages changes to posted schedules to maintain optimal schedules that provide the best customer service is provided.
18. Reviews and approves Timekeeping records for the staff as needed. Assists in maintaining record keeping standards.
19. Assists with merchandising updates and management of inventory levels.
20. Assists in maintaining the production space, where applicable.
21. Ensure consistent standards of cleanliness, maintenance and organization.
22. Provide feedback to the Senior Operations Manager to inform improvements that are needed.
Qualifications
23. 3-5 years retail experience including some management, previous sales experience required.
24. Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
25. Proven operation excellence
26. Passion for Makeup and cosmetic artistry experience preferred
27. Proficiency in Word, Excel, email and computer savvy
28. Demonstrated ability to independently solve moderate to complex problems.
29. Demonstrates flexibility and initiative with minimal direction.
30. Demonstrated ability to support business growth and exhibit professional behavior.
31. Have and maintain flexible availability.
32. Must have open flexibility to work during peak traffic times including evenings, weekends and holidays.
