The role:
The Business Manager supports the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in achieving strategic goals in the Commercial Directorate.
The Business Manager will have experience coordinating the priorities of a senior leadership team, managing projects and be skilled at communicating at the executive level to achieve the directorate's strategic priorities. You’ll thrive in fast-paced environments, build cohesion, and drive success whilst maintaining a highly organised, informed and data-driven approach.
What you’ll do:
1. Work closely with the CCO to ensure the delivery of their strategic priorities and support them to free up time to focus on strategically critical demands.
2. Facilitate and guide Commercial Leadership Team (CLT) meetings/awaydays & events to ensure focus on most critical/prioritised business, managing content/time on the day.
3. Develop and prioritise actions, focus areas and discussion points for CLT, ensuring all are monitored and delivered.
4. Develop and collate information/data from various sources to aid the CCO in decision making, providing relevant recommendations/insights.
5. Own and lead projects, liaising and working closely with business areas to represent Commercial.
6. Proactively recognise and anticipate demands on CCO and Commercial to enable strategic priorities.
7. As a member of CLT, share collective responsibility for developing a healthy directorate culture and positive, inclusive and respectful working environment.
8. Build strong, trusting and discretion-based relationships with key stakeholders across Commercial to equip the CCO with a coordinated view of the organisation.
9. Ensure reality check targets are met by leading wellbeing, recognition and engagement.
10. Collaborate with HR and business areas to develop Commercial Talent pipeline and onboarding experience.
What you’ll bring:
1. Extensive project management experience, preferably within a commercial aviation environment.
2. Experience of working closely with C-Suite leaders and helping to develop and deliver business strategy (essential).
3. Outstanding MS PowerPoint and use of digital media tools.
4. Experience of working in a pressurised environment where good time management skills and prioritisation are critical to achieving deadlines, often under pressure.
5. Experience in managing conflicting demands across functions.
6. Excellent planning and organisation with demonstrable experience of the requirement to multi-task on several concurrent projects/activities while maintaining strict attention to detail.
7. High standard of presentation skills, ability to story tell with impact to a variety of audiences.
8. Proven ability to challenge, negotiate and influence.
