Job Description Commercial Account Executive (A book of business to inherit) Location: Lincoln Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Car Allowance and a Competitive Commission Structure My client is an independent, Lincoln-based Chartered Insurance Broker, and is renowned for delivering certainty and peace of mind to organizations in Lincoln and beyond. Role Purpose: As a Commercial Account Executive, you will inherit a book roughly worth circa £150,000 CI, where you will play a crucial role in successfully leading and managing a portfolio of existing client accounts as well as growing your book of business. You will be dealing with a wide range of Commercial Policies with premiums ranging up to £30,000 Commission Income. Working closely with the Commercial Account Handlers, you will develop strong relationships with clients and identify their insurance and risk management needs. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Finance and Commercial Director to engage in new business activities and achieve set targets. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the quality of our service and promoting continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a portfolio of existing client accounts in collaboration with the Account Handlers Conduct face-to-face client meetings to understand clients' businesses, their risk attitudes, and their approach to insurance and risk management. Identify client demands and needs, as well as gaps in coverage and potential cross-selling/upselling opportunities. Provide comprehensive meeting minutes and risk information to Client Executives, empowering their negotiations with insurers and offering support when necessary. Deliver well-structured risk presentations to clients, addressing identified demands, needs, and risk exposures. Cultivate and maintain excellent working relationships with clients, prospects, colleagues, insurers, and other partners/suppliers. Actively contribute to the company's vision and align with the overall business strategy. Support the Operations Manager in maintaining service quality and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as a role model and technical referral point, sharing your knowledge and experience with the Client Servicing team. Establish a strong presence in your operating area by participating in relevant networking organizations.
