Chelmsford City Council runs four leisure centres across the city of Chelmsford offering a wide range of sport and leisure activities. We are looking for an individual with an engaging personality and a natural ability to build strong relationships to join our gym team across our four centres. The successful applicant will work alongside our team of gym instructors delivering the high level of customer service our users expect whilst conducting inductions and assessments and supporting our members to achieve their fitness goals.
Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and customer care skills and a high level of enthusiasm and must be qualified to a Level 3 diploma in Personal Training. In addition, the successful candidate will need to hold Group Exercise Class qualifications. Duties will include personal fitness programmes, fitness assessments, retention, delivering group exercise classes as per the relevant qualifications and the day to day operations of the gym floor.
The position is offered on a casual basis to cover the opening hours of all of our leisure centres which varies but can be 5.45am to 10.00pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
