We are seeking a fully qualified Religious Education teacher to join one of our high-performing secondary schools in the Fareham area. This thriving 11-16 mixed Academy is dedicated to helping students develop into well-mannered, confident, and culturally rich individuals.
The role is full-time and will begin in January 2025, offering the opportunity to inspire and educate students in a supportive and ambitious environment.
As an RE teacher, you will deliver lessons on world religions, philosophy, and values, helping pupils appreciate the global diversity of beliefs and cultures. You will encourage thoughtful discussions on ethical issues and foster an atmosphere of respect and understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that explore religious beliefs, practices, and ethical considerations across various faiths.
* Encourage open discussions and debates to develop critical thinking and reflection among students.
* Provide support and guidance for students preparing for GCSE exams in Religious Education.
* Create a classroom environment where all pupils feel respected and valued, promoting inclusivity.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to create enriching cross-curricular links.

Requirements:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a degree in Religious Education or a related subject.
* Experience teaching RE at the secondary level, including exam preparation.
* A deep understanding of religious studies, philosophy, and ethics, with the ability to inspire and engage pupils.
* A commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
