We are looking for a skilled and organised Food Technician to join our Design and Technology department. You will provide technical support to teaching staff and students in practical lessons, preparing and providing materials, and maintaining equipment. You will work closely with the Head of Design and Technology to ensure that all equipment complies with health and safety standards.
Key responsibilities:
* Assist teachers in preparing and delivering practical lessons.
* Set up and maintain equipment for practical activities.
* Manage and organise the storage of materials.
* Order resources and check goods delivered against orders.
* Carry out routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment.
* Conduct risk assessments for practical activities and equipment.
* Uphold health and safety standards within the department.
* Provide health and safety guidance to staff and students.
* Support teachers and students in the planning and delivery of projects.
* Attend and contribute to department meetings.
