Role Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be an essential part of the educational journey for students with various learning needs, including those with SEN, SLD/PMLD, ADHD, and ASD. Your primary role will be to support the teacher in creating a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes each student's emotional, social, and academic development. Primary Responsibilities: Promote Student Welfare: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in line with the school's safeguarding policies and the PREVENT initiative. Assist Learning Activities: Work closely with teachers to implement engaging and appropriate learning activities tailored to individual student needs, fostering a holistic learning experience. Positive Relationships: Build strong, trusting relationships with students, ensuring they feel supported in both their academic and emotional journeys. Learning Support: Provide additional explanations and tailored support to students during lessons, enabling them to make progress in their learning. Track Progress: Assist in gathering evidence of student achievements, supporting teachers in monitoring and assessing progress. Feedback & Evaluation: Contribute to the evaluation of learning activities and provide constructive feedback on student performance. Record Keeping: Help maintain comprehensive documentation of student progress, in line with the school's tracking and reporting processes.
