Job Description:
1. Assist the Third-Party Development Manager in liaising with developers and Transport Scotland in relation to all planning applications.
2. Assist Transport Scotland with the preparation and administration of Minutes or Letters of Agreement and Road Bonds.
3. Carry out Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) design checks on all third-party works on or under the trunk road.
4. Carry out New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) checks for statutory and non-statutory undertakers.
5. Assist the Journey Time Reliability Coordinator (JTRC) with any other queries relevant to third-party works on or under the trunk road.
6. Other duties applicable to the role as required by the Network Management Contract or as directed from time to time by the Third-Party Development Manager.
7. Must be able to work to strict deadlines.
8. Follow the requirements of the Graduate Training programme as appropriate.
9. Assist the Senior Engineer and others within the team as required.
Experience And Qualifications:
1. Qualified to HND or equivalent with experience in relevant discipline.
2. Good understanding of Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 and New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.
3. Working knowledge of current DMRB and other design standards.
4. Good computer skills including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
5. Good communication skills.
6. Ability to solve problems.
7. Assist with answering of correspondence.
8. A full approved UK driving licence.
