Ob overview Full training will be given to work with various types of manufacturing machinery which requires a high level of health and safety awareness the role of a Machine Operator requires a person to be comfortable working in a fast-paced demanding environment, they will manufacture high level quality products, ensuring that jobs are carried out effectively and efficiently. Pay Payrate : £12.04 during training, after training £14.44 Hours Hours : Mon Fri. 0800-1600 during training. After move to a shift rotation of: Days :0600-14:30 Mon -Thur and 0600-1200 on Fridays Afternoon : 1400-22:30 Mon- Thur and 11:30-1730 on Fridays Duties:. Machine Op exp is preferred but not essential. Candidate will be feeding 5 long sheets of cardboard (circa 5kg) through a machine, which then creates and folds the cardboard into a box to be flat packed, once this is fed through the other side of the conveyor belt they will then strap it. Working with various types of manufacturing machinery (Training will be given) On a regular basis complete quality and safety checks. Quality control, sort, grade, weigh and inspect products, verifying that product meets specification. Run out pallets once they fully stocked with finished products. Working with material specifications (Involves working with weights and measures). Assist with bailing and recycling of scrap material. Skills/ Attributes Have good numeracy, written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads Ability to work to schedules to meet deadlines Potential involvement with companys recycling programme Be comfortable working with all types of equipment and machinery Have good attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Ability to work in a team and possess a positive approach towards the role. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Some experience working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage but not essential.
