The helicopter B1.3 Engineer is responsible for the maintenance (line/base) of the helicopters. They work in a team of engineers and report to the Maintenance Lead.
Responsibilities & Areas
Line Maintenance
1. Comply with the requirements as described in the regulations;
2. Ensure that all line maintenance tasks carried out to helicopters meet the standard of the UK CAA and M.O.E. instructions;
3. Ensure, together with all Engineers, a variable & flexible work planning & work roster based on business needs that supports & realizes business continuity;
4. Ensure that all maintenance is completed within the appropriate time scales to ensure provision of a serviceable aircraft to meet the operational need;
5. Ensure, based on pilot & all other relevant information, daily problem analysis & problem solving;
6. Ensure briefing & debriefing of pilots and Maintenance Lead;
7. Ensure that PRF (preflight check) is performed;
8. Ensure, in cooperation with NHV Supply Chain, Store & support services that the necessary maintenance material & spare parts are present on site at the planned moment.
9. Report daily on the maintenance situation to the Maintenance Lead.
Base Maintenance
1. Comply with the requirements as described in the regulations;
2. Ensure that all maintenance tasks carried out to helicopters meet the standard of the UK CAA and M.O.E. instructions;
3. Ensure, together with all Engineers, a variable & flexible work planning & work roster based on business needs that supports & realizes business continuity;
4. Ensure that all maintenance is completed within the appropriate time scales to ensure provision of serviceable aircraft to meet the operational need;
5. Ensure briefing & debriefing of the Maintenance Lead; Report daily on the maintenance situation; Inform and update the Maintenance Lead on the maintenance situation;
6. Ensure, in cooperation with NHV Supply Chain, Store & support services that the necessary maintenance material & spare parts are present on site at the planned moment.
7. Participate in the daily morning briefing (toolbox meeting).
Experience
1. UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 License
2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aviation and as a licensed engineer is preferred
3. Engineering experience in different aviation companies is a plus
Skills
1. ICT literate (specific aviation software & MS Office)
2. Languages: English (professional level)
3. Knows & operates by the procedure and processes (operational, quality, safety …) installed by the company
4. Good communicator:
1. debriefing to pilots, flight crew and Maintenance Lead
2. handover of work from/to previous/next shift
5. Able to work independently when performing in a less controlled environment and to take initiative to improve work and complete tasks within appropriate time scales
