Job title: Commissioning Project Leader – Electrical Test Section Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role Salary: £45,628 – £59,000 What you’ll be doing: Manage daily commissioning activities of the team and report in to the Commissioning Manager Lead the team (Team Leaders and Test Electricians) to provide Test & Commissioning with the required support to complete trials and evolutions Day-to-day co-ordination of various work packages to ensure priorities are dealt with and departments readiness responsibilities for major evolutions are met Management and allocation of resource People management responsibilities Management and operation of AC & DC Shore Supplies to boats in build Your skills and experiences: Essential: Time served Electrician with background or considerable experience in Electrical Engineering environments (shipyard, oil rig, gas terminal etc) Knowledge of Power Distribution Systems from either commissioning or maintenance experience Good understanding and experience of safe systems of work Experience of reviewing electrical and technical documentation and drawings Review and approval of electrical isolations (Rip-OutTag-Outs) Desirable: Previous team leading experience is preferred but not essential Involvement in maintenance andor shore service provision is advantageous Experience working with high voltage systems and or safe systems of work (isolation process) Ideally have a minimum of a HNC in Electrical Engineering subject Benefits: You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave incentive and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
