The Role As a Design Technology Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the Design Technology department. Your responsibilities will include: Providing technical and practical support to staff and students across all year groups. Ensuring that all equipment and materials are safe, maintained, and ready for use in lessons. Supporting the preparation and setup of practical lessons and demonstrations. Maintaining a safe and organised working environment in line with health and safety regulations. Assisting with stock management, including the ordering of materials and resources. This role requires someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a busy educational environment. About the Candidate The ideal candidate will: Have previous experience in a similar technical role, preferably within a Design Technology environment. Demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety regulations. Show excellent practical and problem-solving skills. Be organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Ideally, have experience working in an educational setting (desirable but not essential). Training will be provided for the right candidate to further develop their skills and understanding of the role.
