Town Regeneration Officer job advert An exciting opportunity has arisen within our regeneration and enterprise team for the right, entrepreneurial candidate. We have a growing regeneration portfolio and this is a chance to be part of a dynamic and fast-paced service. ESBC has an ambitious, flagship regeneration programme for Burton upon Trent. ESBC owns a site on the high street in the town, which includes several empty historic buildings with listed status, which will be brought back into use for the public to enjoy. The development will be a phased programme of activity, commencing with the current Washland’s Enhancement works, and followed by a new visitor centre, hotel, public plaza and immersive brewing and heritage experience. The successful candidate will help to manage the High Street Project. This will include liaising with consultants, managing budgets, presenting proposals and plans to different audiences, and communicating on a daily basis with a range of different people, including frequently face to face. The role also involves operating a customer-facing unit owned by ESBC on Burton’s Station Street and putting together risk assessments for site visits to the site, for example. The right candidate will be a successful self-starter, confident in networking and engaging with a wide range of individuals, from local businesses to ESBC councillors. The role is varied and involves a wide range of responsibilities and tasks; often no two days are the same. If you would like to discuss the role in more detail, please contact Kelly Kerr-Delworth on 07966 342 217. We are a friendly team and this is a great opportunity to be able to join us and help us take our plans for regenerating the borough forward.
