Job summary To provide a professional, accurate and prompt administrative service working with Optometrists ensuring that patients are dealt with within RTT guidelines and databases are completed in a timely manner. Main duties of the job Accurately maintain databases, filing systems in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that other team members are able to locate letters/information in your absence and maintaining patient confidentiality. Attend relevant meetings with other departments ensuring the necessary statistics and information needed is up to date and available on time. Understand the reporting structure in terms of supervision and support in making decisions. Have a thorough understanding of Welsh Government referral to treat guidance. Liaise with Primary Care Opticians to ensure patient are seen in a timely manner and all information is recorded on WPAS. Liaise with Consultants/Senior Doctors with regards to reporting and outcomes.
