Knowsley Children’s Social Care is seeking to recruit an Experienced Practitioner to support the recruitment and retention of Foster Carers within the Knowsley fostering service. This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist role to support and coordinate the promotion of the fostering service at a range of events, providing advice and information to prospective foster carers, and maintaining and developing positive relationships with current and prospective foster carers. The post holder will also undertake enquiries and assessments from prospective foster carers, providing advice and information about the various aspects of fostering for each individual.
You will need to be qualified and professionally registered as a social worker, have knowledge of current legislation and regulations, be able to demonstrate your experience and abilities in respect of working in partnership with children, young people, families, and partner agencies, and have an understanding of the Mockingbird programme which supports all cared-for children and their foster carers.
