Learning Support Assistant (Male) - Year 3 (ADHD Support)

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Male Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 3 with ADHD. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a young child's educational journey, providing both academic and emotional support.
The child you will be supporting has ADHD and requires assistance in staying focused, managing their behavior, and participating fully in classroom activities. This role will be both challenging and rewarding, offering the chance to develop a strong bond and help guide the student’s progress.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 student with ADHD
* Implement behavior management strategies to ensure a positive learning environment
* Assist with academic tasks, helping the student stay engaged and focused
* Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans
* Support social integration and positive interaction with peers
* Ensure the child's safety and well-being throughout the school day
* Attend relevant meetings and contribute to the ongoing monitoring of the student’s progress
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with ADHD or other Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Strong behavior management skills and ability to implement strategies effectively
* Patient, nurturing, and resilient, with the ability to build a positive relationship with the child
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school staff
* Male applicants only, in accordance with the needs of the child
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience in a primary school setting or with SEN students
* Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
* Understanding of ADHD and strategies to support children with this condition
