Brain Injury Support Worker (Flexible hours)
We have a fantastic opportunity for a male dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team in Prenton Birkenhead. In this role, you will be working flexible hours (10 hours a week) to assist our client into the community and in daily living by providing high-quality care and support, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Main duties of the job
Our client is very social and likes to go out to concerts, theatres, events, supports Liverpool so attending home games. Key responsibilities include delivering personalized care and support, assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, providing emotional support, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job responsibilities
Working Hours: 10 hours a week. Rota will be done on a monthly basis, but hours/days are flexible depending on the client's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering personalised care and support to our client with complex health conditions.
* Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
* Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
* Providing emotional support and companionship.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role, preferably in learning disabilities and epilepsy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Energetic, upbeat and empathetic nature.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work the specified hours.
* Valid UK driver's license.
