JHE & Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with a local, Shipley-based business who are looking to recruit a purchase ledger clerk on a permanent basis. The role is working for a profitable and successful group of companies that has experienced continuous growth in their market. Reporting into the accounts manager and working in a small team of 4, you'll play an instrumental role working on a busy purchase ledger. You will be an experienced ledger clerk, used to managing high-volume workloads showcasing your accuracy and multi-tasking abilities. Additionally, you might have wider accounts experience as there is a great opportunity to oversee the accounts for a subsidiary business. You will be personable, methodical and meticulous in your work with proven experience working with non-finance areas of the business. Duties include: Full management of the purchase ledger processing c1500 invoices Matching, batching and coding of purchase invoices Preparing and processing both the weekly and monthly payment runs Processing all expenses Processing weekly payroll on internal bespoke system (admin based) Query handling Reconciling statements Wider accounting duties subject to experience / desire to progress Additional ad-hoc duties within a busy, small finance team This is a fantastic opportunity working for a very successful business, that continues to thrive in the local Shipley district.
