Estimator Opportunity with a Leading Civil Engineering Contractor
We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team at a successful Civil Engineering Contractor with offices in Redditch and Leeds. Our client is a well-established company, delivering projects from conception through to on-site project delivery across various sectors, including water and wastewater, infrastructure and coastal protection, highways, bridges, and railway civils works.
Role Overview: As an Estimator, you will be responsible for producing competitive, carefully resourced, and analysed tenders (cost and quality) in a timely manner, with support from the wider team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of estimating experience within the water, civil engineering, or rail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work on competitive bids, negotiated contracts, and within frameworks.
* Provide competitive and analysed tender costs and required quality submissions to clients.
* Report directly to the Estimating Manager, demonstrating awareness of company targets.
* Aim to exceed company targets with profitable, successful bids.
* Assist with budget pricing.
* Study tender documentation and information provided.
* Assess the viability of tenders.
* Calculate the net costs of a tender from first principles.

Position Requirements:
* HNC in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline is beneficial.
* Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience within a civil engineering company.
* Working knowledge of NEC conditions of contracts.
* Previous site experience is beneficial.
* Ability to work well within a team environment and be self-motivated.
* Financial and pre-contract management experience.
* Full driving license.
* CSCS Card is beneficial.
