What skills and experience we're looking for
Located in the heart of Portsmouth, The Flying Bull Academy is a two form entry primary school with a vibrant Nursery and an alternative provision setting for children with SEMH needs. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Site Maintenance Assistant to join our team who are responsible for the maintenance and security of the school premises and site.
Working under the direction of the Site Manager, you will ensure that the buildings and site are secure, including day to day repairs and maintenance as required, along with monitoring the general condition of the buildings, both inside and out. The role will require you to be able to operate school systems – heating, cooling, lighting, alarms etc. – making sure that they are in good working order at all times.
With knowledge of building maintenance and a willingness to undertake training, you will have a professional, friendly and helpful approach. You will understand the need to be flexible, conscientious and reliable, and enjoy contributing to a team whilst able to work with minimum supervision.
