Summary of job function: Manage team leaders and operators/ technicians. Co-ordinate daily activities with other Operational Departments. Ensuring shift targets and plans are met and driving teams to achieve KPI’s. Ensuring an effective Shift handover is given to the oncoming shift manager highlighting key issues, constraints, moves and priorities etc. Day to day supervising of technician teams, to include holiday planning, absence management etc. Lead and conduct appraisal of the technician teams. Co-ordinate headcount resources to meet productivity, output and quality whilst always maintaining a safety-first attitude. Lead team meetings and general communication. Ensuring start of shift all technicians know the priorities and targets, equipment issues. restrictions and priorities. Driving the teams job knowledge to include technician level development and process improvement activities. Close working relationship with Manufacturing Manager, End to End Production Controllers and lead technicians. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules. Experience required Background on high volume manufacturing Experience of managing large teams.
