Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the school, including classrooms, hallways, staff areas, and outdoor spaces.
* Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs to keep the school in top condition.
* Set up and clear areas for school events, assemblies, and activities.
* Ensure all school facilities are safe and compliant with health and safety regulations.
* Assist with the school’s heating, lighting, and security systems.
* Support the general upkeep of the school grounds, including gardening and outdoor maintenance tasks.
* Work as part of a team with school staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role (experience in schools is a plus, but not essential).
* A practical, hands-on approach to work with a strong attention to detail.
* Good knowledge of health and safety practices, particularly in a school setting.
* Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to take initiative.
* Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
