What you will be doing: As the Senior R&D Engineer you will work on designing and developing state-of-the-art products and technologies. Your contribution will primarily be in rapid development of analog and digital electronics, communication protocols, writing device firmware, setting up and configuring Single-Board-Computer (SBC) units for edge-computing and wireless communication methods. Provide technical leadership for the Hardware and Firmware sub-team in the Vortex product range. New PCB design, testing, debugging, and prototyping for electronics hardware. Firmware design and programming for embedded devices Write Design and Test Reports Generate and curating release notes for hardware design and firmware versions. Monitoring performance of the hardware and firmware releases Collaborating with other R&D departments including Software, Product Design, QA, Procurement and Production. What are looking for: Tech-savvy self-driven individual. M.Sc./M.Eng./PhD in Electronics / Electrical / Computer Sciences. 5 years of industrial/project experience in working with Embedded Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, and commercial product development. A clear understanding of computer communication networks, IP v4/v6, CoAP, UDP, TCP and relevant network diagnostics. Familiarity with Computer Networks, Communication Protocols, Network Configuration with Windows and Linux platforms and Low-power RF Networks. A comprehensive understanding of microcontroller peripherals is mandatory including communication standards like SPI, UART, I2C, etc., deft knowledge of utilizing SFRs, Timers, Counters, Interrupts, ADCs, etc. What’s in it for you?
