Hazel Home Care are seeking qualified and experienced Care Professionals to deliver an amazing service and care to customers. The Care Professional role supports community elders with their day-to-day needs, which may include personal care, shopping, cleaning, social care, welfare support, and medication administration.
Rosters generally run Monday to Friday. You will need to be available at least 3 weekdays a week; most of our shifts are between 8 am and 4 pm. We can accommodate people with school-age children. Our shifts typically range from 1.5 hours to 4 hours, and you will always be paid a minimum of 2 hours. You may see 2 or 3 clients per day, so you need to be able to travel and will be paid for travel time and mileage between visits.
Duties include:
1. Provide direct care assistance to clients including personal hygiene support, meal preparation, medication reminders, mobility support, etc.
2. Assist clients with maintaining a clean living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
3. Promote independence among clients by encouraging them to participate in activities that enhance their physical and mental well-being.
4. Establish positive relationships with clients through effective communication, active listening, and understanding their individual needs.
5. Maintain accurate records of client interactions including observations made during visits or shifts.
6. Report any changes or concerns regarding the client's health or well-being promptly to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
7. Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations related to social care practices.
Qualifications:
1. Qualification in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Support or related field is preferred but not required. Nursing and Medical students are encouraged to apply.
2. A valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable registered vehicle and car insurance.
3. Australian Federal Police Check (or willing to obtain one).

* Can you work at least 3 days per week?
* Do you have a medication training certificate? (this is not a mandatory requirement)
