Pennygate Medical Centre is a training practice with a list size of nearly 19,000 patients. We comprise of 10 GP Partners, 5 salaried GPs, 3 ANPs, 3 HCAs, and a large reception and admin team. We are based opposite the train station and have a large free onsite car park for staff. As a practice, we pride ourselves in providing excellent healthcare.
We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our team on a temporary basis, initially for a 6-month period for 2 or 3 days per week.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, you will:
* Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients' requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.
* Prescribe for patients, regularly review medications and monitor repeat prescriptions.
* Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at the site, as well as the patients you work with, having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities, including diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral as appropriate in line with guidelines and pathways.
