We design all of our styles in our London studios and make them in Europe with family-owned partner factories. Started in January 2020, we have dedicated operations and Fulfilment Centres in the USA, UK and Europe supporting over 500,000 customers.
The Saint and Sofia team has varied previous experience at leading luxury brands. In March 2023, we were awarded the Investors in People Gold Award for creating an outstanding working environment for our team. In June 2023, we were also nominated for the Employer of The Year Award. Saint and Sofia styles have been featured in Vanity Fair, Vogue, Stylist, Harpers Bazaar, The Times and others. Digitally native, our first store opened in Covent Garden in London in November 2024.
As a Product Developer, you’ll be working to support our London based Design team in designing our collections across product categories from our studios.
On a day to day basis:
* Collaborate with the design team to assist developing innovative designs.
* Work with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and trims, negotiating with suppliers for quality and cost efficiency
* Conduct quality checks on samples and address factory-related concerns.
* Source new suppliers and factories needed that align with company ethos.
* Ensure all designs align with Saint and Sofia’s sustainability values and brand identity.
* Utilise Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create high-quality product visuals.
* Manage product specifications and documentation using Excel/Google Sheets.
* Collaborate with design, supply chain and merchandising teams to define product specifications, including design, features and materials.
* Assist managing project timelines, ensuring critical milestones are met throughout the product development lifecycle.
* Coordinate samples and collect testing data to analyse for wearer trials
* Conduct cross costing exercises with multiple manufacturers for specific products that meet quality and price targets
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations and safety requirements throughout the product development processes.
* Conduct product analysis, user testing and gather feedback to evaluate product usability, functionality and overall customer experience.
* Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and advancements in product development methodologies to enhance product offerings
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in product design or in a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in product development or a similar role.
* Strong understanding of product development processes, from ideation to commercialisation.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and cost optimisation techniques.
* Familiarity with market research techniques and consumer behaviour.
* Proficiency in product design software and tools.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality products.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* A creative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working arrangements
* This is a full-time, permanent position offering a hybrid work model.
* The successful candidate will need to be able to commit to 3 days per week in our Tower Bridge, London Office.
